On the 20th, Duke Energy, together with Sumter County, celebrated the groundbreaking of the company’s Wildwood Training Center. wire and Cable Show 2024 has learned that the training base will provide workers with relevant skills training spaces, and the facility will also offer personnel support to the Florida community.
At the event, company leaders and officials delivered speeches and conducted a cornerstone-laying ceremony to celebrate and express their shared commitment to bolstering the region’s economic vitality.
Technicians (transmission and distribution lines, substations, and relay technicians) play a crucial role in improving the electricity grid in projects that drive Duke Energy’s system modernization. This advancement enhances the ability to withstand storms and other disasters, making the grid more reliable and preparing it for the integration of new renewable energy sources in the future.
