Hellenic Cables signs contract with Energinet for HV submarine cables
Hellenic Cables, the cables segment of Cenergy Holdings, has been awarded another contract by Denmark’s Transmission System Operator Energinet, for the complete supply of a 145 kV cable system connecting Amager Power Plant (AMV) to Svanemølle substation (SMK) in Denmark. According to Energinet, the project contributes to a climate-neutral supply chain.
Hellenic Cables will be responsible for the design, manufacturing, supply and transportation of about 11 km of 145 kV, XLPE insulated submarine cables. The scope of works includes also the supply of related accessories and supervision works.
The cables will be manufactured in Hellenic Cables’ state-of-the-art submarine cable production plant in Corinth, Greece, a world-class manufacturing facility for high and extra-high voltage submarine cables for offshore applications. Manufacturing is expected to be completed in the autumn of 2021.
