Monitoring of high-voltage systems

Two variants of isoHV525 available

The new ISOMETER® isoHV525 insulation monitoring device from Bender can be used to monitor the insulation resistance of unearthed AC, AC/DC and DC systems (IT systems). The device is suitable for use in AC and DC main circuits at nominal system voltages up to 1000 V as well as in systems which include switched-mode power supplies. A separate supply voltage allows de-energised systems to be monitored too.

This compact unit is housed in a sealed case, making it suitable for use in applications that are exposed to extreme environmental conditions, such as high temperatures, humidity and pollution. At the same time, it satisfies the high shock and vibration requirements. This makes it particularly suitable for use in generators and vehicles. The device is connected to the installation via a cable.

Two variants of the isoHV525 are available:
• isoHV525-M4-4 with a 0-10 V analogue output
• isoHV525-S4-4 with a serial RS-485 interface

For both ISOMETER®s, device parameters are initially assigned by the manufacturer. However, parameterisation of the isoHV525-S4-4 is also possible via the RS-485 interface with BMS protocol, for example by means of a BMS-Ethernet gateway (COM465IP) or Modbus RTU. In addition, different measured values, e.g. insulation resistance, leakage capacitance and mains voltage can be read via the serial interface.
