The Era of Internet Opening its Revival Chapter, “Placing the Future under Control”
From September 26 to 29, 2016, wire China 2016, jointly hosted again by Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute (SECRI) , will be grandly held in Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). As is known to all, wire China has steadily ranked the first place in Asia and the second place in the world among trade wire & cable expos for many consecutive years, no matter in terms of the scale of exhibition or the quality of exhibitors and visitors. Having inherited the advantages of previous editions, wire China 2016 will make significant improvement in services, scale, influence and so forth, and provide an efficient platform of new product exhibiting, new technology exchange and new business expansion for all peers of the same trade across the world.
With the development of the new-generation information and communication technologies represented by Internet of Things, big data and cloud computing, the world is entering the era of “Internet”, and the wire & cable industry is embracing the new opportunities of “smartness, intelligence and wisdom”: In the next decade, China will witness explosive growth in its new energy industries like wind energy, solar energy, nuclear energy and so forth, which will further drive the demands for wind energy cable, photovoltaic cable, nuclear energy cable and other special cables; accompanied by the progress of urbanization, the inevitable development of smart cities will most significantly benefit the development of communication cables; driven by the awareness of green and energy-saving development, smart grid has also become an important field receiving close attention in various countries all over the world, and has posed another opportunity for the wire & cable industry. Smart energies, smart cities and smart grid will dominate the direction of wire & cable development, and become the main factor promoting the rapid development of the wire & cable industry in the future.
Meanwhile, with the rapid development of the Chinese economy and the continuous acceleration of the urbanization process, the fields of high-speed railway, urban rail transit and new energy automobiles have entered a rapid growth stage, and thus promoted the wide applications of bare wires, electrical equipment wires & cables, power cables and communication cables. In addition, power, energy, construction, communication and other national infrastructure construction and major project industries have also maintained a trend of heavy investment and rapid growth. As indispensable supporting products for related industries, wires & cables are presenting a very promising prospect.
The global economic growth is slowing down currently. According to industry experts, influenced by excessive capacity, low-end competition, price drop of bulk commodities like copper, aluminum, petroleum and so forth, the growth of the wire & cable industry will gradually slow down, with the current growth rate maintaining at about 2.7%. However, the “Supply-side Reform”, “Internet+”, “One Belt, One Road” and other policies launched by the Chinese government will effectively alleviate the problems currently existing in the industry, and maintain the progressive increase trend of the total demand for wires & cables in China. The related material and equipment manufacturing industries will also benefit from such trend.
So far, the sales area of wire China 2016 is 57,500m2, and, at the expo, nearly a thousand Chinese and foreign exhibitors will collectively exhibit their wire production and refinement machinery, processing equipment, auxiliary processing materials, materials, special wires & cables, measurement and control technologies and detection projects, as well as products, services and solutions in related professional fields.
To adapt to the developmental trend of the industry, wire China 2016 will expand two of its divisions, i.e., “wire & cable materials” and “wires and springs”, and join hands with Shanghai Fastener & Tech Show to meet the demands of different groups with more diversified and comprehensive exhibits and services. At wire China 2014, exhibitors from China and from Germany, Austria, Italy, North America, France, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan (China) and many other countries and regions participated in the expo, and successively expanded their booth areas, thus embodying the potential developmental momentum of the Chinese or even the Asian economy as a whole. As of now, among the 982 exhibitors of wire China 2014, most of them have signed the contract or confirmed to continuously participate in wire China 2016. Included among them are many well-known domestic enterprises like HOSN, Hefei Smarter, Jiangsu Handing, Langfang Xinming, Shanghai Kingstone, Shanghai Originaldow, Tianjin Huayuan and so forth, as well as numerous foreign enterprises like Dow Chemical, Borouge and Borealis, EUROLLS, Fiber-line, Wanhua Chemical, DSM, LG CHEM, Lubrizol, Technora, DISA, Polyone, KOS, Dainichiseika, Furukawa Electric, Gauder, Suzuki Garphyttan, NEXTECK, Zumbach, etc.
As an advanced service platform in Asia or even in the entire world, wire China is a grand international gathering for enterprises engaged in the production, processing and trade of wires & cables, and also a preferred stage on which both domestic and foreign enterprises can show their innovative achievements to both Chinese and Asian markets. Wire China 2016 is devoted to providing directional services for exhibitors and trade buyers.
